How to Size a Snowboard Binding
Share
Finding the right size of snowboard binding is critical to giving you the best connection between you and your board. Here are some questions you might have.
Is There a Difference between Men’s and Women’s Snowboard Bindings?
Yes, in general women’s bindings are narrower and have lower highbacks. This will be a better fit for women’s specific snowboard boots and the way women are built.
If you put a women’s boot into a men’s binding you may have some extra room from side to side, and the binding might feel like it “comes up too high” on the boot. Likewise, if you try to put a men’s boot into a women’s binding it will probably feel too narrow.
Kids bindings are also designed to fit kids boots specifically.
Does it Matter What Brand of Snowboard Boots I Have?
Our 5th Element bindings are designed to fit most major boot brands and have lots of adjustments to do so.
One thing to consider is that an older boot may be bulkier than a current boot and may require a larger binding than the boot size would normally suggest.
Fortunately, our bindings all fit a range of 3-4 sizes giving you plenty of flexibility to truly dial in your fit
